The Military World Games are held in Wuhan; a Pentagon report later counts seven ill service members
The 7th CISM Military World Games ran in Wuhan from October 18 to 27, 2019. A Department of Defense report to the Armed Services Committees, dated December 2022 and made public in April 2025, says seven U.S. service members who attended exhibited COVID-19-like signs or symptoms between October 2019 and January 2020.
The report was required by the National Defense Authorization Act for 2022. It is three pages. It counts; it does not diagnose, and it says so.
